He is known among his colleagues, students, and clients as a seasoned and knowledgeable financial professional who focuses on the areas of tax law, federal taxation, securities taxation, and estate planning.
Educating retirees and pre-retirees weekly through television, radio, and classroom instruction, Marcus is passionate about his student’s financial education and has a talent to explain financial concepts in an easy to understand manner. Whether it’s on the television, radio or in the classroom, Marcus strives to bring the audience to a clear understanding about today’s financial issues with real world financial truths. With that understanding, the audience can make informed choices pre- and post-retirement.
As an Enrolled Agent, Marcus is a federally-licensed tax strategist specializing in taxation, and has unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS when it comes to collections, audits and appeals. Marcus has earned his fellowship through the National Tax Practice Institute (NTPI). He is also a member of the National Society of Financial Educators (NSFE).
Marcus appears often in the media, including the weekly Warren Wealth Wednesdays segment on ABC's WHAS during Great Day LIVE!, on NBC's Wave 3 Listens Live! with John Ramsey, and on the Marcus Warren Radio Show Sunday mornings on AM 970 WGTK. He is also the author of The Retirement Playbook and The Tax Playbook.
Marcus is very committed to giving back to the community. He is a former board member of the Young Professionals Association and St. John Center Men’s Homeless Shelter. He currently sits on the board of directors for Crusade for Children and is a former executive committee member of the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s Pink Tie Ball for the fight against breast cancer. Marcus was also named one of Business First’s “40 Under 40!ʺ top business professionals.
